Lt Col Eric K. Spittle, USAF (Ret.) is the Vice President of Government Strategic Development at Space Systems/ Loral (SS/L) and established the company’s Washington D.C. office. Mr. Spittle is responsible for establishing, resourcing, and directing all of the strategic US Government pursuits for SS/L. He is also the primary SS/L liaison to the Pentagon, NASA headquarters, ODNI and Capitol Hill.
Prior to joining SS/L in 2009, Mr. Spittle worked in all lifecycle phases of weapon system acquisitions throughout his career in the Air Force with a majority of his career in space system acquisitions. He held numerous research, testing, and program management assignments in human biomechanics, software development, fixed-wing aircraft, satellite development and launch system operations support.
Mr. Spittle earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton.
