Launched in September 2008, Galaxy 19 was built for Intelsat and is being used for Fixed Satellite Services (FSS). Based on the highly reliable and flexible SS/L 1300 bus platform, the satellite provides advanced cable television, data, and telecommunications services to customers throughout North America, Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. It is the 43rd SS/L-built satellite to join the Intelsat fleet.
